The great global theatre

This picture of a woman waving an EU flag throwing herself at the police water cannons in the Georgian capital Tbilisi together with her companion is making the rounds on social media. Meanwhile it has a headline: “Georgian protesters shield woman waving EU flag.”

This show’s highlight is that these two are the only ones wearing a mask that night.

That reminds me of Brad Pitt in Inglourious Basterds: “Long story short: If we hear a story too good to be true, it ain’t.”

“I’ve done my share of bootlegging. Up there, if you engage in what the federal government calls illegal activity, but what we call just a man trying to make a living for his family selling moonshine liquor, it behooves oneself to keep his wits. Long story short, we hear a story too good to be true, it ain’t.”

P.S.: Why has there never been a coup in the US? Because there is no US-Embassy… 😉
